How to quickly troubleshoot a video server

What should you do if your video storage hardware fails or if you want to do some troubleshooting?

Start by checking our knowledge base, this will cover practically every piece of hardware we have.

Let's start with a rack mountable server. If you're having problems with power failures, things not turning on, or problems booting windows we have an extensive document with a checklist of things to look at.

Start with checking your power, cabling or anything that can be easily removed. Sometimes cables get loose so try reseating them and see if everything is good to go.

In the event something else has failed, or you can't see any video, make sure your server is completely off and then try reseating some of the different cards within the server.

If you experience drive failure there is a document that will walk you through diagnosing and fixing that.
