Vacuum Sealers Suck!

We've all had great product experiences as well as some not so great product experiences. This case revolves around a vacuum sealer for freezing food. We've had one for a couple years and it's great for my family, it had served its purpose but like all technology, it eventually died out on us.
So I went on Amazon and got a new one. It was half the cost of the one we originally had and it also had a ton of great reviews so I went ahead and bought it. This weekend I'm marinating a bunch of meat, about 30 pounds worth! Unfortunately this new vacuum sealer just wasn't able to handle the job. It would work fine if I was sealing some cold cuts a few times a month, so I realized for what I was using it for I needed a pretty high-end vacuum sealer!
I end up at Target and end up getting a high-end one. I came home and my wife made fun of me a little bit but who cares? I was back in business!
Even though I was initially trying to save myself some money I ended up spending more. We've all been there before right?
On the other hand I also got a new saw this weekend. This also ran about half the price of other saws I have bought but this one is awesome.
We've all seen this before and it's a weird thing with technology. Some things work really well and others are just ehh...but sometimes it is really hard to tell which one it is. Even with vacuum sealer reviews online they weren't really right for what I needed it for.
