Can SSDs be recovered?

Yes, in the event that a SSD "dies" on you there are a few different ways to recover the data that was lost.

The first thing you need to do is identify what caused the SSD to die. 

Was it a logical error or was it caused by physical damage?

If there is physical damage you will need to take your SSD to a disk repair center that will be equipped to fix the damaged drive.

If the damage is due to a logical error there are two approaches you can take:

  1. Use SSD recovery software
  2. Try unplugging the SATA data cable and rebooting
