Some days you know are just going to suck before they even get started. Today I woke up to the dreaded email:
Subj: I'm sick, can't make it in today
The reason it's even worse today is because it left our tech team short since other members of the team or already out on a well deserved vacation or out handling some appointments for the day!
But it's OK! We aren't freaking out about it because we have other members of our team who can step into a tech roll and help out as well as the right technology in place to support our team as much as possible.
So how do you weather the storm? What technologies do you have in place to make sure that you are all good even when things go wrong? If you've been running a business, you know this happens all the time.
For video teams the infrastructure in place consists of cameras, storage & backup systems and workstations which can all have something go wrong at any time.
As you go through your day be thinking about where technology could go wrong in your business and start preparing for them. Your clients don't and shouldn't care that you're riding out a storm, they should only care that you are able to take care of them.
