PDW-F70 XDCAM HD recording deck can record and play back 1080i video lines of multiple frame rates at a high bit rate of up to 35 Mb/s on Professional Disc media.
The PDW-F70 XDCAM HD deck records and plays Professional Disc HD material at 1080/59.94i, 50i, 29.97P, 25P and native 23.98P using the “MPEG HD” codec that uses the industry standard MPEG-2 MP@HL compression. And for high quality sound, four channel, 16 bit, 48 kHz uncompressed audio is used. The deck also can down-convert MPEG HD material to DV signals and output via the i.LINK interface, The PDW-F70 can also up-convert DVCAM material to HD signals and output via the HD-SDI or HD analog component connection.

PDW-F30 XDCAM HD NLE feeder deck
The PDW-F30 XDCAM HD NLE feeder deck plays back 60i/50i and true 24P/25P/30P with compatible play back of variable frame rates. The PDW-F30 XDCAM HD player deck plays back Professional Disc media recorded in the MPEG HD format and can also down-convert this material to DV output. The deck will also play back DVCAM material and offers up-conversion to HD output capability. An optional board also allows input and output of 25 Mb/s MPEG-2 TS (Transport Stream) for easy integration with HDV equipment and nonlinear editors.
