What is an ENCODE station?
The ENCODE workstation component of the V-SAN is a staple of the modern production facility. Whether it be broadcast, film, corporate, or event videography, the need for high-quality, fast, and fl exible encoding is universal. In today’s media-rich world, the ability to conform to any standard necessary for the purposes of editing, or to deliver finished product to its final destination is paramount. Having this flexibility also broadens the area of delivery for every finished project produced. Incompatibility is not an acceptable
answer for any client, so the ability to provide media for any medium on any machine is an imperative. Simply being able to offer a selection of production formats that best fits a clients needs can separate a satisfied client from one who will look elsewhere for future production needs. Be nimble, flexible, and fast with the ability to encode at speeds up to 20x realtime, whether it be video for a cell phone, or uncompressed HD.
