I just want to thank you both for the excellent service I received last Monday. The new memory is working great and I am looking forward to upgrading my Avid Xpress Pro to version 5+. In the future I will be upgrading my DVX100a to something HD, either the JVC HD100 or the Panasonic new HD that is coming out this fall. Just wanted to express my appreciation for your help in getting our new Edius system purchased, installed and running. I have completed two projects on the new system to date - an 8-minute "home movie" and a one-hour show for our local TV station on a Leadership Academy class of 25 students and two lecturers that involved cutting and syncing three cameras, two lapel mikes and a boom mike. They both turned out terrific, and I'm now just about as fast with the new system as I was with Final Cut. I'm really enjoying the product.

My system is awesome. Avid Xpress DV is even better than I anticipated, and the system so far is as stable as a rock. I am having a mysterious problem installing my HP PhotoSmart 1100 printer, though, which seems strange considering it's only about 6 months old. Even HP support couldn't help.
In closing I am most happy with my edit systems they are rock solid and work every time. This is a huge statement. Once I dumped my beige G3 life has been simple. I have saved over $45,000.00 in outside edit charges in the last two years. This is good!
Just want to say how much I think of your company. You make it happen for so many people I discussed with many in Vegas about the ProMax system. I'm a computer novice but with Final Cut Pro integrated with your system is fabulous. Going to be ordering the advance Final Cut Pro tape as an add on to the Lisa Brenneis book I received at your DV Boot Camp. Just went to the forum to recommend you. You really make it easy.

I just recently purchased a digital editing system from your wonderful company ProMax. (You) made me feel completely comfortable in my decision of products. For some of us small business people the decision of spending thousands of dollars in one place is quite nerve wracking. But having someone like Ethan to walk through everything step by step was relieving.

I had been looking for quite some time for a place just like yours to help me out with my nonlinear adventures... When I finally got word of ProMax the frustration was over. I can't tell you how happy I am with the way everything has worked out. Thanks again for everything you do, and please recognize (my sales person) too. (I think you should give him a raise).

I'm using a two disk setup from ProMax with 5400 EIDE IBM drives and I've never had a single dropped frame even when the drives were stuffed to the gills with 50 gigs of source footage. When I first put my system together I had originally committed myself to hefty 10,000 RPM UW2SCSI drives (to match the 9gig that was already present), but at that particular time the drives were unavailable for some reason and after waiting quite a few weeks I decided to call the folks at ProMax. Listening to what they had to say convinced me to cancel my SCSI order go with them.

I got more storage space saved about $500 (which I used to buy more RAM) and am completely happy with their product...


We got our new system and have opened all the boxes. But we can't set it up until next Monday at the earliest. We were totally dead for almost 2 weeks and then our new system arrives and we're instantly swamped. And since the new system is for our soon to be former Accom Stratasphere editor, there is a learning curve to contend with. But I just wanted to thank you for all your hard work and I'm glad that your numerous bids finally turned into a sale.

I'm on my fourth system from ProMax. As far as I'm concerned, they're the only game in town (Southern California) when it comes to Mac video editing systems.
I just had to write again. I am just starting in the video editing game. I have been attempting to learn FCP. We have the following system: B W G-3, 350; Sony DSR-20 DV Deck, connected to the CPU via firewire; FCP; an external RAID system by RAIDTEC, RAID 5, that has 101 gigabytes of useable memory, connected to the CPU via an Adaptec 2940 U2W SCSI card (the RAIDTEC has its own hardware controller, but the mounting was done via FWB Tool Kit); internal 6 gigabyte and 8 gigabyte drive for administrative purposes. I had imported media a few months ago into FCP from our deck; that we shot on an Aaton Super 16 mm, indoors on a stage, using Kodak vision 500 film, that was telecined to BetaSP, and then transferred via a Sony DSR-80 to DVCAM; and it looked fine.
A very knowledgeable person I know, Adam Wilt (adamwilt.com) suggested that I get ProMax's DV Tool Kit. Today, for the first time, I imported the exact same footage I described above, only under the use of the DV Plus of DV Tool Kit, and the picture quality, and color correctness, is significantly better.

I purchased a ProMax DV Editing last spring and I would like to share a recent experience I had with your tech staff. FANTASTIC!!! Your tech support has been top notch since day one but this week tech rep Jerry Miles went way above and beyond to help. A drive on my system died on Thursday putting a large project that I have due next Friday in serious trouble. Jerry could not have been any better or taken more concern. I know that he went out of his way to check on my system and keep me informed about it's progress. It's hard for me to put into words how much he helped me out. I can only say that he deserves a tremendous pat on the back for the extra effort he put out on my behalf. Because of his efforts I can assure you that I intend to make all my future equipment purchases with ProMax.

After 18 months of perfect performance from our "ProMax" edit system, we had our first and only system failure, when our Decklink SP card passed on to better pastures. This of course was on the eve of a large scale edit session that had been booked for some time and involved our clients traveling over 5 hours, each way, to work with us at Red Forge. Through the hard work and dedication to service I have come accustomed to from ProMax, we were up and running by the next morning with a new Decklink card installed, just in time for our edit session. Just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate the efforts made by your entire staff.


Thank you very much for helping (us) put together this equipment package. Everything has arrived and seems to be in very good condition. We have set up one system, which works great, and the other one will be set up next week sometime.

You and ProMax have been great to work with and I will recommend we still work with you and ProMax when we begin this process again in 24 months. Keep in touch and you will be hearing from me when this lease is nearing completion.
